Ashley Braid
This still resonates with Ashley after 18 years behind the chair. She wakes up every day feeling blessed to create and make her beautiful guests feel like they are shining.
Ashley specializes in advanced coloring techniques from stubborn unruly silver coverage to blondebalayages and brunette blends. Creating fullness and length with extensions, giving her guest hair they never imagined.
From being blow dried to sleep as a baby to playing hairdresser as a child, Ashley started to develop her artistry by practicing informally through her adolescent years on the heads of friends and family. It was destined to be.
She followed her heart to John Casablanca's in 2006 and continued on to advanced education at Vancouver's Aveda Academy Institute. At Aveda, she found her passion for sustainable beauty and the science of color. From there, she began to chase her dream of opening her own salon. Her dream finally came true and Shine Hair Lounge began the journey in 2012.
Ashley truly believes in following your heart, doing what makes your soul shine.

As a hair artist & salon owner, Ashley constantly looks for ways to ignite her creativity through experience and industry training. From local workshops to international experience such as traveling to LA for Vidal Sassoon, Ashley always feeds her passion with practice and education. She is committed to growing a exceptional team who share the same visions & values as a salon family.

Jennah Greenburg
Cut & Color Professional
Jennah is a cut and colour specialist that has been working at Shine Hair Lounge since July 2018. She started as an apprentice, working towards her goal of becoming a master stylist and owning her own salon. Jennah graduated from the Vancouver Hair Academy in September 2021.
Jennah has a strong passion for hair and strives to learn and educate herself on all current and upcoming trends and styles. She listens carefully to all her guests and enjoys taking on new and intricate challenges. Her attention to detail is inspiring as she takes her time to make sure every guest has and outstanding and personable experience.

I began my journey in the hair industry by completing with licensed certificate in 2021 from VCC hair styling program. I immediately fell in love with a strong passion for hair , my favourite service to do would be any blonding/highlighting service’s along with any colour service ! I have had the pleasure of working along side some very talented stylist who I have learned so much from in my short time in this industry. My goals as a hair stylist are to make sure my clients feel as welcomed and comfortable in my chair as possible ! Hair to me is a very personal thing and I will always do my very best to achieve the goals that’s my clients are looking for and help give them the opportunity to feel confident with their hair . I am currently working as a Jr.Stylist to continue to give me more of an opportunity to grow my knowledge as a stylist and enhance my technique and skills. I absolutely love what I do and I can’t wait to see you in my chair!

With over 25 years of experience in the Cosmetology industry, Carmen excels at bringing out at the inner beauty of all of her clients. She exceeds expectations by consistently delivering one-of-a-kind experience for each client. Carmen began her journey working at well-established salons in downtown Vancouver, where she grew a loyal clientele base. She moved to Australia where she fulfilled one of her goals of starting her own hair and beauty salon, working with many international artists in perfecting her skills. She returned home to Port Moody and continued to build her love for and dedication to the beauty industry. Carmen specializes in different methods of hair extensions, precision cuts for men and women, blowout sets, balayage, highlights and colour correction. She is also a certified cosmetologist who always loves to learn, and believes education is important in staying up-to-date on current trends and product knowledge. Carmen is excited to connect with you!

As one of the original team members at SHL, Jenn brings 25+ years of experience in the industry to her existing and new clientele. Graduating from the Hair Art Academy at the top of her class, she has completed advanced training in classic and creative cutting and colouring at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California.
With her range of experience, Jenn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to clients in her chair. Her ability to listen and break down the individual needs of her clients allows her to create personalized cuts and colours to suit each of them, while at the same time maintaining the structural integrity of the hair.
Specializing in beautifully blended balayages, from soft and subtle to rich and dramatic, Jenn loves to work with long, layered cuts and styles, blondes, multi-dimensional brunettes and everything in between, as well as adding length, fullness and drama with sew-in weft extensions. From ethnic hair to managing unruly curls, her years of experience has made her an expertise!
